Outline of Animation Course
Day 1 10.00 a.m. Brief history of animation, showing lots of examples on video, lots of Triffic bits as well, examples of different kinds of projects, title sequences, series, information type films, corporate etc. Overview of different techniques and styles in animation. Lunch 1-2 p.m. (bring a packed lunch) 2.00 p.m. A training afternoon. Hopefully using the video projector and screen give some quick lessons in Photoshop and Celaction. Try out some animation in Celaction for rest of afternoon using 2DTV characters. Finish at 5.00 p.m.
Day 2 10.00 a.m. Set Brief. Listen to music. Discuss and ‘brainstorm’ ideas. Lunch 1-2 p.m. (bring a packed lunch) 2.00 p.m. Storyboard. Plan strategy, sort out who’s doing what. Finish at 5.00 p.m.
Day 3 10.00 a.m. Photography / drawing and collecting source material. Lunch 1-2 p.m. (bring a packed lunch) 2.00 p.m. Photoshop work, cutting up characters, preparing for Cel. Finish at 5.00 p.m.
Day 4 10.00a.m. Animating. Lunch 1-2 p.m. (bring a packed lunch) 2.00 p.m. Animating. Finish at 5.00 p.m.
Day 5 10.00 a.m. Finish animation, start editing / compositing. Lunch 1-2 p.m. (bring a packed lunch) 2.00 p.m. Editing / compositing. Finish at 5.00 p.m.
